Sunrise Animation Productions begins production on the story of David.

In 2017, Sunrise Animation production began scaling production services to complete their most ambitious project to date, theater-quality original feature film. To prepare for this, and help secure funding, a demonstration film was completed to develop and prove the production process and to scale up current capabilities. Groundwork was proud to play a part in developing the character pipeline, cg supervision, cloth and hair supervision, cloth hair builds, and leading the technical animation efforts on the project.

DAVID is a major animated feature film created for a wide audience to share the epic biblical story of David with families across the world. David is one of the most inspiring characters in human history. Warrior, poet, shepherd, and king, David’s life is one of incredible color and energy. It’s the ultimate underdog story. The film is planned for a worldwide theatrical release in 2025.
