About Us
Groundwork Animation is a development, consulting, and animation production studio headquartered in St. Petersburg, FL. Founded in 2018 as Forgotten Pictures, it was created around the idea that stories can be entertaining, uplifting, and speak to deeper meaning in our lives. The stories we create aim to transport the audience to worlds they would want to be a part of and engage with while at the same time providing a sense of deeper meaning in the worlds in which our characters live.

The Team
Jeff MacNeill
Founder / Co-owner - Business Development
Jeff has worked as a Character FX Supervisor, Visual Effects Lead and Cloth Simulation Lead. He previously worked at Walt Disney Feature Animation for nine years specializing in Dynamic Character Effects and Technical Animation. Notable feature film work includes Bolt, Tangled, Wreck-it Ralph, Frozen, Big Hero 6, Zootopia, and Moana.
Aaron Adams
Founder / Co-owner - Creative Director
Aaron Adams serves with over 10 years of leadership in animation production. He worked for Walt Disney Animation Studios as the Simulation and Technical Animation Supervisor on “Big Hero 6.” He also worked on a number of award- winning films as a Character TD including Tangled, Wreck-it Ralph, Frozen, and Moana. He previously taught animation production at Southern Adventist University.
